caraka samhita

Caraka Samhita is written in sanskrit language in verse (sloka) form. It has 8 sections and 120 chapters. What is amazing about this samhita is, most of its conclusions are based on constant verifications and authentications emanating from group discussions among learned physicians. The group discussions of the pros and cons of each disease topic is described authentically. It has a detailed diagnosis of various diseases. It can be seen that the Samhita believes in reaching the root cause of a problem.
This probably is the reason why Caraka Samhita is the most referred Ayurvedic text, even today.
